the day fiona is back from m'sia.
"Take any emotion - love for a woman, or grief for a loved one, or what i'm going through, fear and pain from a deadly illness. if you hold back on the emotions - if you don't allow yourself to go all the way through them - you can never get to being detached, you're too busy being afraid. you're afraid of pain, you're afraid of the grief. you're afraid of the vulnerability that loving entails.
But by throwing yourself into these emotions, by allowing yourself to dive in, all the way, over your head even, you experience them fully and completely. you know what pain is. you know what love is. you know what grief is. and only then can you say, 'All right. i have experienced that emotion. i recognise that emotion. now i need to detach from that emotion for a moment.'
When you learn how to die, you learn how to live."

people who know me would know that this book has become sort of a bible for me now. haha. but sometimes people just do not do what they preach. haha.
the feeling of regret will never cease to exist. the same lessons can be learnt from playing poker. it is not about if your dare to go all the way, for going all the way would mean you might lose all your money. it's about knowing the opportune moment to stop and leave and reduce the losses, for the next deal you might get the luck and win the game.
ah well. regret is overwhelming me now. i just have to know when to detach from it. cause the next moment i'm gonna win the game. =P

haha. btw pek it's really funny to see your
own name on someone else's report. it definitely shows that sometimes it's just not cool to imitate someone else for being yourself is the coolest. wheee!
will update about m'sia soon. anyhow merry christmas!
