my mum had a really interesting conversation with my dad on the train today regarding a ba zhang sms. a little background: my dad basically understand zero chinese so he depends on my mum to translate all those greetings and forwarded messages for different festivals in chinese.

dad asked mum to read one of such smses.

after a surprisingly ok rsp interview, i met my neighbour eugene for dinner and a drink at indochine while watching a horribly boring holland v denmark match. the moment we left after 1st half they scored at 46min. own goal somemore. still boring nonetheless.

2nd day on yog canoeing kayaking and rowing site. i took the effort to walk up to the zero mark to see the start line and the ir on the opposite bank. luckily some rowing guy came along with a buggy to save me the agony of covering the distance from 250m to 750m in the blazing sun. hehe.

so glad mimi sun came today. :)

spot the fisheye effect? never would i ever expect my cui phone to produce these beauties. haha. nope not from a fisheye lens, but it seems that the laggy shuttle speed of my phone camera with rotation brought about this effect. :) must be because shoe and n threaten to get it changed. hehe.

i missed my entry last night! i fell asleep rewatching antique and ep 8 of mr brain (which ever loaded faster) on my laptop on my lap on my bed. and today i woke up at 12 plus, and fell asleep again at 4 plus.

cube was fun! in the end. guess it's always fun in the end becoz it's practically like the end of another submission. except that the submission is not entirely mine. my kids are great. :) they screamed my name before they left the hall. haha.

i know i'm supposed to blog about my mum today. but due to time limitation after online submission of thethesisthatneverfailtokeepcomingbacktostalkus and the second time in a row ridiculously early waking up time tomorrow, i'll just say something random to fill up my blog entry of the day then. yup. someone forced me back again. haha.

about 2 nights ago i dreamt of 30 days of night again. it seemed that an only-30mins encounter with it scarred me for life. i dreamt that my mum was out on the risk of being eaten by blood thirsty vampines to attend some important meeting regarding the elimination of said vampines. i was at home and on the phone with her as she checks on our safety. just at the moment i heard a sound from the door and instantly put down the phone with her and leaped behind a tiny bit of wall in the kitchen in front of the fridge. my front door was slowly pushed opened, and i realised i forgot to shut the darn door that would keep the vampines from knowing our existence. standing outside is one said vampine peering in trying to find a sign of life and some fresh meat for his next meal.

while putting warm tauhuay into the fridge at morning after i woke up, i attempted to stand in front of the fridge to see if the tiny bit of wall really could hide me behind of it. darn. i should seriously start working out more coz i was in plain sight from the front door.

more depressing than anything else.

The Great Barrier Reef

The marine park stretches over 3000km (1800 miles) almost parallel to the Queensland coast, from near the coastal town of Bundaberg, up past the tip of Cape York. The reef, between 15 kilometres and 150 kilometres off shore and around 65 Km wide in some parts, is a gathering of brilliant, vivid coral providing divers with the most spectacular underwater experience imaginable.

i haven been writing entries recently because thesis (my next boyfriend after dissertation) has been taking up too much of my time, both awake and sleeping. extremely problematic.

that aside, i discovered my love for beach wear. ahhhhh.

if i do not live in this reality, with no future career (or supposed future career), i would without-a-doubt-in-my-mind move to the nicest beach in the world, dress in a bikini and a dress or shorts every single day, have the nicest gold-brown tan and work at a b&b, guest house, cafe or bar along the beach, just like the storyline in the beach boys. haha.

and my best friend would definitely by my dog.

or be like colbie caillat who lives in a caravan and stays near the beach singing and strumming her guitar, ok be like her in MOST OF HER MVS. haha.

in the south of india, people used to catch monkeys in a very special way. actually they let monkeys catch themselves. what they did is cutting a small hole in a coconut, just large enough for a monkey to put its hand in. next, you fix the coconut to a tree, and fill it with a sweet. the monkey smells the sweet, squeezes its hand into the coconut, grabs the sweet and finds that, the fist does not fit through the hole anymore. now the trick is: the last thing the monkey will think of is to let go of the sweet, and it holds itself prisoner. nothing could be easier for a human being who comes and catches it.
